Nathaniel passes away

NRNathaniel Richardson, the first person ever interviewed by Urbanlife.se passed away yesterday. The tall, cool American who had lived in Sweden for many years was the perfect example of the type of person we are interested in - positive go-getters, adapting to new situation with ease in order to succeed and a excellent role model.

The interview written by Christian Hofverberg captured but a small sample of his life but I still clearly remember listening, enthralled by his history as we sat in the hotel café. From an Airline Pilot/technician to being a Film actor his story was fascinating and we are so proud that he took the time to share it with us. The article has become one of Urbanlifes most-read.

All those who met and knew this charismatic, smartly dressed family man know that he will be dearly missed.

On behalf of Urbanlife may we extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends at this sad time.

Slavery - The Game: Real or Fake?

Slavery - The Game promises to be a new upcoming "game" in 2012, according to the website and the video trailer. It seems to have already divided the internet with sites like youtube ,where most voters dislike it while many commentators are for it.

The goal of the game is to become the most powerful slave trader and the teaser states, "Go back to 17th century when Europe ruled the world. Make a tremendous fortune. Buy slaves. Discipline them. Exploit them."

Could this be just a gimmick to show how far gaming could go or a reflection that the public have no limits on what is offensive?
Let us know what you think.

A joke or not?

Teater/danspjäsen "That He Said She Said Type Event", skriven, producerad och utförd av Stevie Nii-Adu Mensah, är en dramatisk historia som kombinerar och ger liv till Stevies musik och kulturella bakgrund.

"That He Said She Said Type Event" är berättelsen om Ama, en ung, stark kvinna från en trasig och ekonomisk instabil omgivning i byn Kotobabi/Accra/Ghana/Västafrika, som under en passionerad dans råkar korsa väg med en man från kungligt ursprung, och hamnar i rikemansväldet.
