Can’t wait for the Öland Roots Festival on 17-18 July?
Then start soaking up the reggae vibe on Friday June 5 at a big reggae pre-party in Kägelbanan, Stockholm.
The Öland Roots festival is the work of a group of young people who, in 2004, were a little upset that nothing ever happened for them on Öland that had to do with music or culture. As a reaction they created Öland Roots!
They have an excellent list of artists performing at this year’s event. Artists include: YT & Curtis Lynch, General Knas, Stereo Steppers, Safari Sound and Dj Viktorious. Guests also include: Kapten Röd, Sister Sol, Sture, Ismail, Mystic Man, and Titti Tång.
We suggest looking to Öland Roots as inspiration if you also find there is a lack of music and culture in your area.
