Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, but raised in Europe IBRAHIM CONTEH, is a rapper from Husby, Stockholm in Sweden, who started rapping in early ‘97.
Best known by his stage name Conté, he’s an incredibly ambitious rapper who creatively blends many styles such as calypso with hip-hop.
Contés first official mixtape was in May 2007, called “The Hybrid“, which contained the very popular “Get Dat Doe” but it wasn’t until his second release called “Numba 13“that people really began to take notice. The fact that over 30, 000 copies sold worldwide in the first month, is a statement to his ability and that number is still growing.
Lately Conté has released his third Mixtape; “Unleash Tha Beast”; which took the world by storm and has the highest download rate DoeBoi has ever seen.
2009 should a good year for this Swedish rapping-artist and we expect to see alot more from him as he works on establishing himself in the rap world.
