Rasheed Abdul Jabbar wrote on Facebook: “Marika uses a word (for commercial purposes) that was used to oppress people by kidnapping their men, rape their women, cut their hands and feet as they fought for their freedom, dump pregnant and weak in the sea. And no one knows how many millions have reaped their lives for this. So no, the n-word is not nice at any time." And these sentiments were echoed by, Keyo Sedenrej from Urban Africa Movement: "I know damn sure that every time a black person says that the n-word, is generally okay or happily posing next to the n-word in the media, it spreads the notion among the public that the n-word is not at all offensive." Marika was adopted as a two year old from Ethiopia. Growing up in the Skåne with Swedish parents, a Swedish name and an ‘exotic’ appearance, the audience will follow Marika to a job interview, the hairdresser, school and work while taking notes of comic situations and strange encounters with kind pensioners in the street who want to give her money to the narrow minded Sweden Democrats, who see her as a benefit sponging burden to society. Although Marika’s jokes are raw and sincere the use of the N-word has proved anything but funny. The fact that the n-word was published in the Metro newspaper has surely broken some publishing laws regarding words that provoke a negative effect, physically or morally, and a number of complaints have been made to the newspaper and reklamombudsmannen. So far no comment have been made. Know your rights in Sweden.

What the fuck! As regular UL readers may know sadly grammar is not my strong point (too many art classes) but as a designer I do know that using the right word in the right way will create the perfect emotion for what you are trying to convey.
