An evening organized by Faunafest can be best be described as an evening "where the boundary between stage and audience ... The audience dissolved integrated albeit unconsciously, in an ongoing show. The stage shape converges in a final merger. An unforgettable celebration."

Urbanlife is pleased to offer a limited number of tickets at discount prices, exclusively for our members. So if you're not already a member, please register on the website www.urbanlife.se so you do not miss the opportunity to experience an evening where we celebrate the meeting between the world's different cultures and musical styles.

STOCKHOLM

EleAnd by no means last ELE in concert, Kista Church (Kista Kyrka) Saturday 12th September 2009

Our very own super-talented Swedish singer Eleonore “Ele” Hansson performs a soulful evening with her friends. The Swedish magazine Rodeo described her as “A hot candidate to become the new soul diva of Sweden with her jazzy, neo soul-try sound”, and we totally agree . We predict big things for her.

Listen to Ele on: myspace.com/elesongs

Entrance: 50:-

So there’s no reason to stay in this weekend unless you don’t read Urbanlife!

Enjoy and don’t forget to tell us what you thought afterwards!

A Patchwork of Rhythms

Rikard Rehnbergh reviews the US band TV On The Radio recent performance and gets caught in the heat.

Alternative indie arty funky punky post-rock act TV On The Radio (TV) gave a, literally speaking, sweaty performance at the club Debaser (the name taken from the classical Pixies-track from 1989) at Södermalm in Stockholm. The vocalist Tunde Adebimpe was sweating floods from his hair and beard inside the hothouse club, meanwhile the rain was pouring down outside, and fellow member and singer Kyp Malone was keeping his cool in an African tunicle. But the very expectant audience also perspired during the show, which in the beginning was a bit pending, but it took the second half of the show and the end to really liven it up!

Exclusive to Urbanlife.se

Anna Reynolds – Konträr

At the recent EU Urban music event I had the pleasure of sharing a rooftop lunch with Anna Reynolds, a multi-talented artist from Germany. Having sadly missed her performance, singer / songwriter / producer, Anna described her music to me as sometimes aggressive, yet still melodic electro sound with accents from punk, '80s new wave and old soul. I was intrigued to hear this petite, urban singer with a cool Afro and on her return to Germany Anna kindly presented Urbanlife.se with the exclusive Swedish premier of her new video: Konträr.
