 On January 20th Barack Obama will be sworn in as USA’s 44th President and the charismatic Cyndee Peters has arranged a gala event at Konserthuset, Stockholm in honor of this momentous day. This should be a very special night with a host of artists such as Eric Bibb, Triple & Touch, Gladys del Pilar, Kayo, Blacknuss and many more.

But who is Cyndee Peters?
 If you’ve never heard of Cyndee Peters then we suggest that you remember her name as it is often used in Swedish crosswords. American born Cyndee Peters is a well known gospel singer and artist in Sweden and she is regularly seen on TV or heard on the radio. Cyndee created her own place in Swedish history with her group ‘Black Peoples Music’ and her tender and distinct voice set her immediately apart. She is also and author, having written a book in how to deal with sorrow following the death of her Swedish husband Lasse Strandell.
Tickets for the Obama Gala event are bound to sell out quickly so anyone able to attend can expect a wonderful evening. We think it’s fantastic that this event has been arranged and that so many artists are taking part. The significance of Obamas presidency should not be underestimated.
