Viva Stockholm fails to move


– Move to the side, said a bearded Afro-Swedish policeman (nice guy) and I shuffled accordingly and allowed the steady flow of cars to pass by. Across the road sat three girls on the pavement edge huddled under an umbrella, above them a lone flag of Barbados briefly appeared as if looking for company and then disappeared again. Yes, I was at Viva Stockholm, Sweden’s Caribbean Carnival waiting to jump and wave behind the big truck except the truck wasn’t moving and I had been standing here for over an hour. Having already forgotten the battery to the camera (doh!) this evening had progressively gone from bad to worse.
