Uppsala reggae festival celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and there are certainly reasons to celebrate as the tenth edition and its selection of artists attracted more visitors than last year. With two bankruptcies in recent years, as well as this summer's festival earlier bankruptcies, Arvika and Hultsfred festival, this is a great success for Uppsala reggae festival and its organisers Yared Tekeste Adiam Kubrom, both of whom were interviewed in today's UNT magazine. According to Yared Tekeste, founder of the Reggae Festival, this year's festival had between 15 000 -16 000 paying visitors, which they are very pleased about. The result proves that their efforts to broaden the range of reggae has borne fruit and now they look forward to top that result next year. Source: Upsala Nya Tidning |
