![]() In the 90's it was salsa, after that came afrodance and now Dancehall is leading the way as the top trendy dance for the new decade. Dancehall is 100% Caribbean style but its actual origin descends from West Africa and is over 500 years old. It has developed in to what we now called ’Dancehall’ and Jamaica is the top Dancehall country in the world. Originally heavily criticised because of its vulgarity in both words and movements it took a while for it to get accepted globally, however now the rest of the world is hooked and Dancehall is here to stay. In Dancehall the dances are named after the music they are performed to. A well-known dance is “Dutty Wine” created by the Jamaican artist Tony Matterhorn. Today in Sweden you can find Dancehall classes available in most dance schools. Besides being fun, energetic and sexy, it’s also a great way to get your body beautifully shaped, especially around your thighs, hips and booty. And as a plus you’ll defenitely get bendy. Start to dance Dancehall now, and beach 2010 is done.
