Film screening of Dancehall Documentary ManOoman

Friday 27 Nov at 21.00. Kägelbanan Södra Teatern Stockholm.

In connection to the Dance Hall Hype Party 2009 at Kägelbanan, Stocktown will screen the  criticallly acclaimed dancehall documentary MAN OOMAN made by the danish director Andreas Johnsen.

Man Ooman is a film about dancehall dancing. A dancing style and flourishing subculture that excists in Jamaica and gets exported to the rest of the world through dvds, music videos and internet. This documentary tries to show the environment from which the dance evolves and the gender roles that play out in the society around it.



Entrance: 120 sek including the Hype Party 2009 at Kägelbanan with Sweet Irie (uk), Rough Lynx (gbg), Dj Carli and Jexpert, Mikey Mic, dancehall competitions and more.
