 The 26th Stockholm Jazz Festival will be held between 15 and July 19, 2009. This years’ festival will have more than 60 artists performing from early afternoon until midnight, on three stages. Just read these names: Sonny Rollins, Erykah Badu, Gilberto Gil, Abdullah Ibrahim, Lauryn Hill, Sonny Rollins, Joss Stone, Guru’s Jazzmatazz, Headhunters, Lee Ritenour, Oddjob, Booker T and many, many more… It’s a superb list. On Friday July 17 Skeppsholmen will filled with lyrical, passionate and warm tones as one of history's greatest jazz giants takes the stage at the Stockholm Jazz Festival. "It feels great and extremely fun to be able to present Sonny Rollins as the festival first name " says producer Gunnar Lagerman.
