Urbanlife.se is always looking for a broad spectrum of urban culture, in Sweden and abroad. M.I.A. is a fine example of this.

Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam, better known by her stage name M.I.A., is a British songwriter, record producer, singer, fashion designer, and artist. M.I.A. stands for both Missing in Acton (a London town) and Missing in Action. M.I.A.’s music is comprised of many different genres, often with a political undertone and she described her music style as being "other."

M.I.A came to fame in early 2004 through file-sharing of her singles "Galang" and "Sunshowers" on the Internet and has been nominated for two Grammy Awards and an Academy Award.

M.I.A She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.

This song 'Paper Planes' is taken from the film ‘Slumdog Millionare’.
