What is the aim of urbanlife.se?
Urbanlife.se was created to help people of colour network with each other, find jobs and raise the Swedes awareness of our beautiful, rich and talented culture, which also resides here.
Why aren’t all the articles in Swedish?
Hey, give me a chance! English is my first language and is therefore easier for me to work in. We aim to have every article available in both English and Swedish* so the site is accessible to as many people as possible. Remember, many people from other countries find reading Swedish difficult and some information here is important for all. I would welcome any offers regarding translating articles.
*The Business Directory is only available in Swedish. Most companies have English speakers so don’t be afraid to call.
Even though I use ‘search’, I still can’t find what I’m looking for?
Sorry, this is a little odd we admit. At the moment if you want to search for a particular company, use the search option in the business section, not on the home page. The same applies when looking for specific events. For example, when looking for a Jazz event, use ‘Search’ in the Jazz events section. We are looking into changing this in the near future.
Some things on the site look odd or don’t work.
Are you on a PC using Internet Explorer? urbanlife.se is best viewed using Firefox, a free, safe internet browser. Please download it and also tell your friends to banish the evil IE to the wastelands forever! Also make sure you have the latest flash player installed. If it still doesn’t look right, then send us a mail and we’ll try to help.
Can I book tickets on urbanlife.se for travel or concerts?
Not yet but we are currently looking into this. We also aim to get you the best offers and prices anywhere in Sweden.
Can I send in recipes or articles?
Yes please. We want to hear about your life, experiences and comments. For e.g. are you in a mixed relationship? Have you been racially attacked? What do you think of Sweden? Have you got any good job search advice?
We’d also like to know of any upcoming events. We always welcome photographers and any comments that can help us be better. Help us to help you.
Can I download the songs on the urbanlifeipod?
No. Kick back and listen only.

Urbanlife.se doesn’t seem to be updated very often.
We’re very sorry if this happens to be the case. It´s early days for us so it may take a little time before we are working at full steam. Please bookmark us and keep coming back, we’ve got a lot of very exciting things planned for the future and we’d hate for you to miss out!
