“African Night with Stars”

We understand that the current weather conditions may make you feel like staying at home but don’t let a little rain stop you! Instead, enjoy an evening of music, poetry and performance in Slottsbiografen, Uppsala on Tuesday 16 June at 20.00.

The following will be performing: Jennifer Ferguson a South African singer/songwriter and theatre artist, Ahmadu Jarr a versatile artist from Sierra Leone living in Sweden, Shailja Patel a Kenyan poet, theater artist and activist and Tolu Olungesi a young Nigerian poet and writer. Tolu’s poetry and short stories have been published in several countries and he’s also known as one of Nigeria’s most interesting bloggers. South African award winning poet Gabeba Baderoon will also attend.

Tickets cost 100:- with discounts available for students, unemployed and pensioners.
