CinemAfrica Film Festival is the largest festival of African film. Here you can see the best and latest films from the African continent and the Diaspora.
This year the festival offers 26 films from 16 countries. The overall theme for this year is Diaspora and identity. Films to be shown include a safe sex comedy ‘Sex, okras and Salted Butter’, poetic and thoughtful ‘Andalucia’ and the raw violence settlement ‘A Winter Tale’, tells of how it is to live in Diaspora.

Among this year's films are also some of last year's big topics in the international film world. ' Ethiopia', a film about the difficulty of returning after years in exile, from South Africa a provocative film about some "white trash" characters and from Algeria, a documentary about the war and liberation from Egypt.
CinemAfrica offers also hot discussions and seminars. This year is especially about Diaspora and identity, racism in today's South Africa and the hidden secrets of Algeria's recent history.
This years Festival also includes more guest directors than ever.
Do not miss the opportunity to meet them! But it’s not only film and talk - of course it will be a festival too!
The festival feast will be prepared by Ethio Star and will be a tasty Ethiopian buffet. You can also catch live music on street level and later dance the night away with DJs Nougier Jad & Mam who will be spinning the discs.
